Why do we wait so long to tell those we love.....that we love them? I'm sorry Sis, I love you, and I'll miss you, but thanks be to God; I'll see you in Heaven. Even now, I believe there's a great family reunion there. You now know what I and countless others yearn to know; what it's like to be in the very presence of the Creator of all things, the Author of life, the One who is the essence of love; the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end; the Lamb of God, the Savior of the world.
I remember our childhood together; how you read me stories and took care of me when I was little. Then we grew up......and drifted apart.
You left a legacy of love in the lives of everyone you touched; especially your family. No artist, writer or poet that ever lived could possibly capture the beauty of your love. I never got to see into your heart; but I think I can see at least a little of it now. It's a crowded place, but you always had room for more.
My promise to you is that I'll do all that I can to love your family more. My prayers for them is all I have to offer; but you know better than anyone, that that's the most precious gift anyone can offer.
So until I see you and Mom and Nana and Joe........and Jesus.......So long for now.
your loving brother
Don
